The Austin Scott Tournament needs a few good women — and men — to volunteer

Austin Scott Tournament with Flatirons in background

Hey all. One of Boulder’s premier tennis tournaments begins today, Saturday, May 15. As always, we could use a couple of volunteers for each day of the tournament to keep things running smoothly. BTA Board members have volunteered for this first weekend, but we’ll need an assist for the following weekday evenings, Monday – Friday, 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. And then next Saturday, May 22 (when the finals will take place) from 8:00 a.m. to mid-afternoon.

The work is not exactly back-breaking: maybe run some balls out to a court, help set out the snacks, shepherd waiting players to the registration table, or take part in the mandatory anti-rain dance. (Kidding! Primitive dance skills are strictly a secondary requirement.) If you can help at all with this good cause (remember, a minimum of $500 of proceeds will go to the Boulder County Crisis Fund) while also taking part in the fun and watching some good tennis, then let us know!

Contact president@bouldertennis.org with your name, emergency phone number (in case of rainouts), and possible times you can help out, and we’ll schedule you in. For the weeknights, it would be great if you could swing the whole four hours, but any little bit helps. For the final Saturday, just give us a three-hour window when you are available.

Thanks!

The BTA Board
