Dear Boulder Tennis Community,
The BTA is making some big changes in our organization and vision for Boulder Tennis. One of the ways we are doing this is to closer collaborate and support youth tennis through Gonzo Tennis.
“2021 USTA Colorado “Organization of the Year” |
That is a big deal and deserves to be recognized , so if you see Gonzo or any of his fine staff out there coaching at the various recreation centers around town, congratulate them and consider how lucky we are to have them serving tennis for over 20 years in Boulder County!
On that note, we are sharing Gonzo’s message here about an awesome event they are hosting and a great way for us to give back to Tennis.
Gonzo Tennis message:
This Spring Gonzo Tennis will be coaching and supporting Michelle Zhang, a 16 year old high school student from Superior, Colorado as she represents Team Colorado at tennis in the Special Olympics in Orlando, Florida from 5-12th June 2022.
In addition to coaching Michelle, Gonzo Tennis will be hosting a Tennis Party and Fundraiser on Saturday 26th February and we would really appreciate your help! We are planning on 2 hours of tennis activities, followed by a silent auction and raffle. All proceeds will go towards Michelle’s tennis equipment, training and travel expenses for herself and her family. We are hoping to help Michelle raise $1,800.
In order to make our auction a reality, we are hoping to get donations of the following items:
- unique and interesting items to auction off. Contributions do not have to be tennis related e.g. gift hamper
- Snacks, soft drinks, baked goods for the party on 26th February (flyer attached).
- Monetary donations are always welcome to the following GoFundMe account:
Please feel free to forward this to anyone else you know who might be interested in helping out.
Many thanks for considering supporting Michelle and Team Colorado Tennis and making this event fun and special for the tennis community.
Go Team Colorado! Go for Gold!
