For those of you who knew him, longtime Boulder-area tennis player, Francois Bellouin, died February 17, 2022. Francois was active in the local tennis community, working with the BTA board and playing in league, ladder, and tournaments.

Boulder Parks and Rec (BPR) is providing another chance to offer input on their Master Plan Update. For the tennis community it’s an opportunity to affect the emphasis BPR puts on public tennis court building and maintenance. Chime in!

The next BTA winter social is coming up fast and will be fun and exciting as usual !
It will be held in the Rocky Mountain Tennis Center bubble, located on the south side of the Millennium Hotel, 1345 28th Street, 80302. This event is for players at USTA 3.5 and above.

Chris DeCicco is chosen as new president for the BTA Board, and a new position of Director of Community Relations is created to keep a laser-like focus on new and better courts, as well as the future of Boulder public tennis.

The winter social season kicks off Sunday, Dec. 5, with indoor tennis at the RMTC bubble from 7 – 9 p.m. All levels are welcome. Masks are required unless you provide proof of vaccination. Court cost is $20.00 per player. Join the fun!

Thanks to all the members of the tennis community who showed up at the Parks and Rec Master Plan Open House, tennis concerns were heard loud and clear. Tennis supporters made up 75 to 80 percent of attendees and made their opinions known.
